Le concept du Jump Novel repose sur un mélange entre roman et manga : il contient principalement des light novels (romans illustrés typiques du Japon), souvent adaptés ou inspirés de mangas populaires publiés dans le Weekly Shōnen Jump, mais aussi des histoires originales.
